New term
The first week back after the tattie holidays has been a very busy one in the music room. I have been delighted to audition around 100 pupils for parts in Mary Poppins. Every lunch break they have kept coming and coming which is very encouraging. Now I have the difficult task of casting. Well done to every one who came along to audition.
Congratulations to Eilidh Duncan who has won her place in the final of the Rotary Club Young Musician of the Year. We are very excited to be going to Gleneagles on Sunday 2nd Dec. I have the honour of going with her to accompany her singing.
Pupils have been enjoying seasonal activities in music this week. Photos and videos to follow.

Congratulations
Sincere Congratulations to Eilidh Duncan who is in P6. Eilidh has won her way into the final of the Rotary Club Young Musician of the Year. She will now perform at Gleneagles on Sunday 2nd December. Mrs Johnston is delighted to be going along to accompany her on that day. Good luck Eilidh and a massive well done again.
Weekend Event
The Newhill Matildas and Miss Honey were a credit to our school yesterday in Meigle. All of the girls performed beautifully at a special service for the Guild. They were presented with individual gifts and welcomed to a brunch after the service. We were also given a lovely Calamari Shannari knitted by Guild members. Grateful thanks to the parents for bringing them along, especially so early on a Sunday morning. I am indeed very fortunate to work with such lovely pupils like those. Thank you girls!
