We’ve been discussing institutional factors that we need to consider when studying Star Wars.
REMEMBER: Institution is the key aspect that deals with anything to do with budget, rules, regulations and laws.
To kick us off, we’ve been looking at budget and where all that money was spent.
We’ve also touched on BBFC ratings and what made this film a 12a. We’ll look into more detail about this shortly, but for now familiarise yourself with BBFC ratings by clicking here.
We’ve now finished watching Star Wars (unless you were out on Friday, in which case you’ll need to arrange to catch up with me).
Now we’ve seen the full thing, we have been thinking about applying Propp’s theory to the characters in Star Wars.
We’ve discovered that characters often take on more than one character type. You need to be able to identify specific parts of the film where the character serves a function.
