PE Kit

Health and safety

All piercings should be removed.

Pupils failing to bring required kit:

The Department seeks to develop an ethos of participation. The bringing of correct kit is vital for pupils to achieve success. We have a stock of freshly laundered C.H.S. P.E. kit that can be loaned (when available) to pupils who have forgotten kit.  However this will be supported with an appropriate sanction.

Sanctions for Failure to bring PE Kit

NB: Pupils refusing to borrow loaned kit should be referred directly to the Principal Teacher!

Furthermore, parents of pupils who forget kit on 3 or more occassions, will receive a letter from the C.H.S. Senior Management Team, informing them of their child’s inability to follow school policy.

Pupils Excused PE

Pupils should only be excused from participation in PE if they have SIGNED NOTE from a parent or carer.

Excused pupils will be expected to accompany their class and assist in a non playing role e.g. Score keeper, umpire, etc.  It is therefore an expectation that pupils will bring kit at all times, even when unable to participate fully with the class. If this is impractical then the pupil should be placed with another teacher “good neighbouring” within the Department.

NB: Pupils will still be expected to change when possible, to fulfil non-playing roles.
