Course Content
The National Progression Award (NPA) in Digital Media Editing is a new award at SCQF levels 4 and 5 and consists of three NQ Units drawn from the framework of the National Certificate in Digital Media Computing at SCQF Levels 4 and 5.
- Still Image Editing
- Audio Editing
- Video Editing
This course is suited to pupils who wish to develop their knowledge and skills in the acquisition and editing of digital media.
Pupils will gain fundamental knowledge required in acquisition and editing techniques while also gaining practical skills in a range of software applications and tools.
Assessment
The assessment for this course will be internal and there will be no external exam.
For each of the three units there will be :
- a small theory test to assess knowledge
- an extended practical assignment comprising planning, implementation and evaluation tasks.
