On Friday 11th June we went to over to visit Papay School for the day. We flew to Kirkwall first and then got a flight to Westray and on to Papay – completing the World’s Shortest Scheduled flight – we got certificates!
It was really rainy when we arrived in Papay! Papay School kindly met us and brought waterproofs for us to wear. We walked down to the school together.
After break time we split into 2 groups. Jakie, Phoebe and Isabella re-potted some basil in the greenhouse and Alfie, Alexander and Robin planted some spinach.
We got to try some beans in the community garden
“I loved the lunch – I have never had a better school lunch ever!” said Robin.
“I loved lunch and musical statues!” said Phoebe.
Everyone together on the climbing frame – Isabella, Jakie, Alfie, Alexander, Phoebe and Robin.
It took just 7 minutes to fly home to North Ronaldsay from Papay.
