ELC Improvement Plan

How will we know if we are achieving our key improvement priorities?

We will review progress 3-4 times a year in line with the Quality Assurance Calendar and create actions for each term

A bank of regular feedback from HT, ELC team and peers will support improvements and the self-evaluation process

A review of National Guidance in relation to priorities will substantiate actions

There will be positive feedback received from children, families and the community as part of self-evaluation

Achievement of Rights Respecting Schools award

The Rights of the Child will be understood by all practitioners

The pupil voice will be evidenced in self-evaluation

ELC IMPROVEMENT PRIORITY 1: UNCRC

Rationale for this priority: As a result of self-evaluation there is a need to promote and uphold the rights of the child in a way that is recognised and shared by our school community.

ELC IMPROVEMENT PRIORITY 2: CURRICULUM PURPOSE AND BREADTH

Rationale for this priority: As a result of self-evaluation, it was recognised that the breadth of the curriculum needed to include all subject areas and that there could be value added with a focus on digital technology.  From parental feedback in June 25, we recognised the need to involve the nursery community with the purpose of the curriculum and for everyone to be involved and understand the vision, values and curriculum rationale.
