Great improvement in accuracy from our Sumdog champions.

We celebrated lots of success at assembly this week. Many children brought in trophies and medals. They explained how they earned their awards. Lots of football and athletic awards. Well done all.

Primary 2 and primary 2/3 also sang two songs they have been learning. We were very impressed.

As a bit of fun, The Parent Council are running a family competition to recycle any items you can find to build something ‘Woodlands’ related***. Build whatever comes to mind, but it has to be recycled items and it can be as big or as small as you wish. It’s a bit of fun for the whole family.

There will be 3 winners for the whole school, so if you have more than one child, get them all involved, adults included!

1^st Place – ‘Family Day Out’ Two £10 passes for Innoflate Cumbernauld, covers play and socks.

2^nd Place – ‘Family Game Night’ Board Game and snacks! Who will be Champion?

3^rd Place – ‘Family Movie Night’ A DVD and snacks for a fun night in!

*****All entries have to be in for the 18^th March 2020 so The Parent Council can judge all entries. Winner will be announced on the day of the Parents Evening (Thursday 19^th March 2020) and all will be displayed for everyone to see.

On Friday 6th March Woodlands Primary School will be hosting a Fairtrade pancake breakfast. Parents and friends are invited to join us.

Come down for a delicious pancake, a cup of tea or coffee and enjoy some wonderful singing from our fantastic pupils.

Due to maintenance in the gymhall Woodlands Tots group will not be able to go ahead on Tuesday 3rd March.

The Eco/Fairtrade committee did a brilliant Fairtrade Assembly to launch Fairtrade Fortnight.

cultures, and the environment.

The talked about the work Fairtrade does, the difference between Fairtrade and non-Fairtrade products and what Fairtrade does apart from give more money to farmers.

There was a great Kahoot quiz, won by OAK house!

We have also launched the Fairtrade Tuckhshop this week!
