Last year at Woodlands Primary School we began the process of revisiting and revamping our school ethos and values. We consulted parents and pupils ensuring that the school community was involved in shaping and creating our new vision.

Last year Pupil Action Group collated all the information and worked together to create a new vision with values that we all would like to see at Woodlands Primary School. Our pupils have made a video to show their work and share our new vision and values.

White Option – Literacy Lentil Soup

Red Option – Bookworm Burger (chicken burger with wedges, salad and sweetcorn)

Green Option – Fairytale Dippers (Quorn dippers with potato wedges, salad and sweetcorn)

Yellow Option – Magical Sweet Chilli Chicken (Chicken and rice with sweet chilli sauce sweetcorn and carrots)

Blue option – Wonderland Sandwiches (cheese and Ham)

Seasonal Fruit with shortbread biscuit

Next Friday (8^th March) Woodlands Primary school is having a STEM and Play session for our Primary 7s from 2pm – 3pm. The ‘STEM and Play’ session will take place in the STEM Zone and in the P7 and P6/7 classroom. These sessions give you a chance to see what your child is learning and to get involved, as well as to meet other parents/families. Parents and carers are welcome to attend. Parents and carers attending must enter through the front door and sign in via the QR code sign in sheet. At the end of the session parents and carers can leave through the front door and collect their child as normal at their class door.

Our Primary 7s are going to Outdoor Education at Strathclyde Park next week. Children will be taking part in various activities.

Children are recommended to bring:

Spare socks

Waterproofs

Warm clothes (Gloves, hat, scarves)

A change of shoes/wellies

A bottle of water

A snack for morning break

A packed lunch
