P1 SCHOOL ENROLEMENT FOR AUGUST 2024

Dear Parent/Carer

Registration of infant beginners for August 2024/25.

Registration for infant beginners for session 2024/2025 will take place week commencing Monday 15th January to Friday 19th January.

 

Due to staffing parents can only enrol their child Monday to Thursday in the afternoon from 1:30pm – 3pm.

 

Please bring your child’s birth certificate and proof of address in the form of a current council tax bill/letter. These must be produced at time of registration.

Nursery Applications 2024-2025

Applications for the 2024-2025 session of nursery will open today (Tuesday 19th December 2023).

 

The Government funding start dates are where a child’s third birthday fall on or between:

  • 1 March 2024 and 31 August 2024 they will be eligible for funding from August 2024 (autumn term) occurring in that year.
  • 1 September and 31 December 2024 they will be eligible for funding from January 2025 (spring term) following their birthday.
  • 1 January and last day of February 2025 they will be eligible for funding from April 2025 (summer term) following their birthday.

Please complete the online application and send via email to your first choice provider.  If your first choice is Woodlands Nursery, please send it to  enquiries-at-woodlands@northlan.org.uk along with all supporting paperwork (birth certificate/passport and Council Tax bill).  Please ensure you have made three choices of provider.

 

Where you do not have access to IT, paper copies can still be accepted by your first choice nursery. Should you be unable to provide a current council tax bill  a copy  can be requested via the following link; View and manage your council tax account online | North Lanarkshire Council.

Christmas Parties

Our class Christmas Parties begin this week.

The children will enjoy a party with their peers on:

Monday 11th of December – All P6 and P7 children

Tuesday 12th of December – All P4 and P5 children

Monday 18th of December – All P2 and P3 children

Tuesday 19th of December – All Nursery and P1 children

 

The children can come to school wearing their party gear and bring a snack to share with their

friends such as a bottle of juice, crisps, funsizes or shop bought small cakes.

P4 STEM and Play

On Friday 8th December Woodlands Primary school is having a STEM and Play session for our Primary 4s from 2pm – 3pm. The ‘STEM and Play’ session will take place in the STEM Zone and in the P4 and P4/5 classroom. These sessions give you a chance to see what your child is learning and to get involved, as well as to meet other parents/families. Parents and carers are welcome to attend. Parents and carers attending must enter through the front door and sign in via the QR code sign in sheet. At the end of the session parents and carers can leave through the front door and collect their child as normal at their class door.
