Breakfast Club/ Free School Meals

Breakfast Club is open from 8:30 for children of Keyworkers.

If your child is entitled to a free school meal (not all P1-P3 children but children who are financially entitled) and you need to access this support, please bring your child at the normal lunchtime from 12:15 – 1:00.

Phone the office between 9:00 – 9:45 to confirm your child’s attendance and to place a lunch order. This will allow the kitchen to plan for lunch numbers. Again this is only if you need this service, if not please stay at home.

NORTH LANARKSHIRE COUNCIL UPDATE – SUNDAY 22nd MARCH

Important message for tomorrow.

Monday 23rd March is not business as usual, schools have been closed to help slow the rate of transmission of the coronavirus, it is vital that only children of Key workers with no alternative childcare can attend school so they can carry out their essential roles. If parents/carers have a partner who is not a key worker, then they are asked to please keep their children at home. The school will be working to a restricted capacity to allow for social distancing and this space must be used to support critical workers. All children must enter through the main entrance no earlier than 8:30 where parents will be expected to complete paperwork and outline the support they require, this includes nursery children.

Any further update today will also be shown on the school website and issued via the school app.

Furthermore updates from the Council can be found on their main webpage and on Twitter @nlcpeople

Thanks to all parents and carers for their support at this very difficult time.

Update N.L.C. R.E. – Keyworkers

Thank you for your patience. North Lanarkshire Council have issued the following information. This is not business as usual and it is vital that this support being offered is only accessed by those who absolutely require it to enable NHS and other critical services to function. The first presumption is that staff who fall under category 2 and 3 who can work from home will work from home.

Click on the link to read North Lanarkshire Council’s update on keyworkers.

We will try and post updates when possible – please continue to check social media and NL Website for further details.

North Lanarkshire Communication

Dear Parents /Carers

Following advice from the Scottish Government to close educational establishment today, we fully recognise that from today children and young people may be at home for a long period of time and we have produced a suite of materials to support their learning – further information about materials will be sent to you in due course.

Understandably, this is an unsettling time for children, young people and their carers and many people will be feeling anxious about the current situation and the impact that it may have on the health and wellbeing of family, friends and colleagues.

For this reason we have also included information to help you reassure your child.  Many of these resources have been developed in collaboration with South Lanarkshire Council.  The attached document provides some advice and guidance.

We will continue to up-date this resource and ensure that it is widely available online.  You will be notified of these updates next week.

Thank you for your on-going support during these challenging times.

Regards

Derek Brown
