Often at the end of the school year children bring in gifts for their teacher and other members of staff. While we appreciate the kindness shown to us over the years, we would ask that gifts are no longer given. This is a decision taken by the whole staff team and is in recognition of the challenges that we all face both in keeping our families safe and financially at this challenging time. If you want to thank your child’s teacher this can be done through a message on the class blog.

We have posted out letters today to all returning nursery children and offers of places. Angela and Lesley will be calling all parents on Monday and Tuesday to confirm acceptance of places, this is to allow us to make further preparations for the children’s return. Please note that information on the days that your child should attend nursery will be sent by post next week along with their end of term learning journey.

As announced by Derek Brown this afternoon, children will attend school for 2 days in August as part of a blended model which includes digital schooling. This will be on a Monday/Tuesday or a Thursday/Friday. Please note that we cannot accommodate parental requests for specific days. Our priority is to ensure that families attend together and that groupings meet the educational needs of our children. We are currently finalising the arrangements for this and details will be sent out by post next week, this will also include your child’s end of year report.

Children can wear normal school uniform when they return in August, however as the advice states that all uniform must be washed when the children return home each day we would suggest that school polo shirt, school sweatshirt and school trousers/skirts would be the best option.
Children cannot bring school bags to school – all resources they need will be provided for them. Children can bring along a packed lunch box that can be wiped, a small snack and a pre-filled water bottle (please note these cannot be refilled throughout the day).
