Glycerol in slush drinks

Parents are being advised by Food Standards Scotland not to give slush-ice drinks to children under 4, following new industry guidance. Under-10s also shouldn’t be offered free refill promotions to prevent young children being exposed to excessive amounts of glycerol.
This follows a risk assessment by the Food Standards Agency which found that children below this age may suffer from headaches and sickness caused by exposure to glycerol.

Graduations

Nursery Graduation

Our nursery graduation will take place on Thursday 20th of June at 1.30pm. While it will only be our preschool children who graduate, our anti preschool children will also participate in the celebration therefore all parents are invited to attend. We would stress that only 2 adults are permitted per family to ensure that there is space for everyone.

Primary 7 Graduation

Our primary 7 pupils will graduate on Friday 21st of June at 1.30pm. We would like to invite parents and carers of our P7 pupils to join us for their celebration followed by some refreshments. To ensure that we have enough space in the hall we would ask that 2 adults per child attend this event.

Primary 7 Party

All Primary 7 pupils are invited to come back in the evening (Friday 21st) to enjoy a party with pizza, smores and games. Children should come to school at 7.30pm and must be collected by an adult at 11pm.
