Bank Holiday – Monday 19 September 2022

Following the announcement that the day of the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II on Monday 19 September 2022 is to be a bank holiday, all schools and early learning establishments will be closed as a mark of respect.

As indicated in our August/October newsletter we are providing opportunities for parents to meet together informally to chat together and enjoy a coffee and cake. From tomorrow (Monday 12th September) we will be launching a coffee morning every two weeks from 10am – 11:30am.

You are invited to come along with your child to meet their teacher on Thursday 15th September from 3:15 – 3:45 0r from 5:00 – 5:30. This is an opportunity for you to meet the teacher and have a look around your child’s class.

Green – Ham Toastie

Yellow – Baked Potato (Cheese or Beans)

Blue – Cheese Wrap or Chicken Wrap

Soup – Lentil

Today all children were issued with their login details for Glow and Microsoft Teams. Microsoft Teams is linked to your child’s Glow account. You can also download Microsoft Teams from the App Store if you wish. When you first log on you will be asked to change the password indicated on the card – this is to make your child’s Glow and Microsoft Teams account secure.

Our Primary Ones were also given a Sumdog login. This can be used to practise maths concepts at home using a variety of different games.

The Cumbernauld Academy P7 Showcase will be on Thursday 13^th October.

It will run from 6.30-8.30pm.

Students and parents/carers are invited to tour the school, experiencing the different departments.
