Daily Mile at assembly tomorrow

Following last month’s successful daily mile, we are going to repeat it at tomorrow’s assembly. This will take place within the school grounds. For this can all children come to school tomorrow with a warm jacket and shoes they feel comfortable going for a walk in. Thank you very much for your help with this.

Micro Tyco

Our Micro Tyco project has come to an end today. Thank you to everyone who supported the various business ventures that our P5 to P7’s undertook over the course of this month long project. They have learned so many valuable “real-life” skills that they will be able to apply to their lives now and in the future and your support towards this is greatly appreciated.

I am delighted to announce that they have made £449.30  profit over the course of the 4 weeks and this will be donated to the WildHearts charity in micro-loans for poor entrepreneurs in the developing world.

A huge well done to all of the pupils involved, your hard work will make a huge and positive difference in the lives of others!

It has been a great week at Woodlands and the children have gained so much from it. I am confident the inspiration they have been given this week will spur them on for the rest of this year and in future years to work as hard as they can and be the best that they can be. Thank you to everyone who came to talk to our children and to everyone who helped organised what has been an amazing week!
