Can we remind all parents and carers that dogs are not allowed in the school and nursey playgrounds. Thank you.

Woodlands Primary School and Nursery will close tomorrow at 2.30pm for the Christmas break.

The School and nursery will re-open on Monday 8th January 2024.

Given today’s yellow weather warning and having risk assessed the journey to and from the Tryst we have made the decision to cancel today’s swimming for Primary 5.

Dear Parent/Carer

Registration of infant beginners for August 2024/25.

Registration for infant beginners for session 2024/2025 will take place week commencing Monday 15^th January to Friday 19^th January.

Due to staffing parents can only enrol their child Monday to Thursday in the afternoon from 1:30pm – 3pm.

Please bring your child’s birth certificate and proof of address in the form of a current council tax bill/letter. These must be produced at time of registration.

Applications for the 2024-2025 session of nursery will open today (Tuesday 19th December 2023).

The Government funding start dates are where a child’s third birthday fall on or between:

• 1 March 2024 and 31 August 2024 they will be eligible for funding from August 2024 (autumn term) occurring in that year.
• 1 September and 31 December 2024 they will be eligible for funding from January 2025 (spring term) following their birthday.
• 1 January and last day of February 2025 they will be eligible for funding from April 2025 (summer term) following their birthday.

Please complete the online application and send via email to your first choice provider.  If your first choice is Woodlands Nursery, please send it to  enquiries-at-woodlands@northlan.org.uk along with all supporting paperwork (birth certificate/passport and Council Tax bill).  Please ensure you have made three choices of provider.

Where you do not have access to IT, paper copies can still be accepted by your first choice nursery. Should you be unable to provide a current council tax bill  a copy  can be requested via the following link; View and manage your council tax account online | North Lanarkshire Council.

Sandwiches – Cheese or Chicken

Menu change Tuesday 12th December

White   – Lentil soup

Red       – Sausage Roll and Beans

Green   – Tuna Mayo Pasta

Sandwiches – Chicken and Cheese

Yellow  – Baked Potato

* Wednesday is Christmas lunch day and children should have already pre-ordered their lunch through the online form before the Monday 4th December deadline.

Our class Christmas Parties begin this week.

The children will enjoy a party with their peers on:

Monday 11^th of December – All P6 and P7 children

Tuesday 12^th of December – All P4 and P5 children

Monday 18^th of December – All P2 and P3 children

Tuesday 19^th of December – All Nursery and P1 children

The children can come to school wearing their party gear and bring a snack to share with their

friends such as a bottle of juice, crisps, funsizes or shop bought small cakes.
