Christmas Nativity 2023

Preparations are already underway for our Christmas Nativity Concert ‘Straw and Order’ involving all children from Nursery to Primary 7. Parents and carers are invited to join us on Friday 15th of December at 10am or 1.30pm to enjoy the show. Each family is limited to 2 tickets to ensure that we can fit everyone into the hall.

Order forms will be issued next week.

All children in receipt of a free school meal including those in P1-5 must return the order form.  (Any child who fails to return their order form will only be served once the other orders have been filled and as such may not get the meal of their choice.)

Christmas Fayre

Our annual Christmas Fayre will take place on Saturday 2nd of December from 10am – 12 noon. As always there will be a range of activities and stalls to enjoy including home baking, raffle, tombola and a visit to the man in red. Any donations would be gratefully received including chocolate items for the tombola, raffle prizes or any used toys in nearly new condition. These can be handed into the school from Monday 27th of November.

P3 Stay and Play

On Friday 24th November Woodlands Primary school is having a Stay and Play session for our Primary 3s from 2pm – 3pm. The ‘Stay and Play’ session will take place in the Learning Zone and in the P2/3 classroom. These sessions give you a chance to see what your child is learning and to get involved, as well as to meet other parents/families. Parents and carers are welcome to attend. Parents and carers attending must enter through the front door and sign in via the QR code sign in sheet. At the end of the session parents and carers can leave through the front door and collect their child as normal at their class door.

Children In Need

This year we are celebrating Children In Need on the 17th November (tomorrow). Our pupils will take part in school house-based activities and learn about the role of Children in Need.

On the day children are welcome to wear:
