The entire school had a fabulous time learning about Road Safety with members of staff from Norbet Dentressangle haulage company.  Two massive HGV lorries were parked in our car park all day and every class got to look round them.  The teachers had the difficult job of clambeing up in to the cabs to find out just how difficult it is to see pedestrians and other road users if they come too close to the lorries.

The company also donated gifts for each child and prizes for a competition.  Thank you very much to the three staff members from Norbert Dentressangle for a wonderful experience.

We are all looking forward to our Road Safety Roadshow in partnership with Norbett Dentressangle. This event will take place on Monday 10th October at the top end of the school car park. All Primary classes will have the opportunity to visit the two vehicles and talk to the drivers about road/cycle safety.
Parents are very welcome to visit after 2.30pm on Monday as Norbett Dentressangle staff will be only too happy to show them around the lorries and discuss any aspect of Road Safety regarding HGVs and trailers on the roads. So why not come along and see what you can learn?

In Bay 12 we have been learning all about staying safe as a pedestrian. To help drivers see us better we have been looking at reflective and flourescent clothing. We also had fun designing backpacks, key chains and road safety jackets. Check out one of our pupils wearing a reflective and flourescent vest.
