Glow Meet at Tannochside Nursery

On Tuesday 4th October, some of our Nursery children were featured in a Glow Meet broadcast for Education Scotland.  A Glow Meet is a video conference inside the Glow website that other schools and nurseries can log into and watch on their computer screen.  The viewers can also send questions and responses online.

This Glow Meet was to launch a resource for young children called “A Right Wee Blether“.  This was launched by Scotland’s Commissioner for Children and Young People, Tam Baillie.  You can find out more about him and his work on his website here.

Have a look at how our fabulous children looked on Mr Clark’s computer when he logged in to watch the broadcast:

News from Mrs Denney

I have been asked by the authority to become Acting Head Teacher at Kilsyth Primary School to cover the Head Teacher’s absence until Christmas. I will miss being at Tannochside next term but will be back in the New Year. I know all the boys and girls will be working hard with their teachers and I will look forward to hearing all their news and achievements when I return.

Tannochside Eco Warriors

Tannochside Primary School is proud to announce their newly elected Eco Warriors.  There are representatives from every stage and we also have members from our nursery school, janitorial staff, school management members and some class teachers – more photos to be added!!  We have taken our first tentative steps towards our Eco Green Flag by conducting our checklist to evaluate where we are and where we want to go – but it will take lots of effort from everyone in the school and to be fair it is our long term objective/aim to achieve our Green Flag.  We promise to keep you updated on any initiatives we plan to introduce and hope to have your full support, and remember all great suggestions welcome.

We want to hear from you!
