Role of Support for Learning Teachers
Support for Learning teachers have five specific roles:
•Consultancy (providing advice in collaboration with other professionals, parents and pupils)
•Cooperative teaching (Supporting pupils within the classroom)
•Staff development (providing up to date information and training for staff)
•Individual tuition (working on individual programmes of work with pupils)
•Liaison with other agencies (eg. Ed. Psychologist, Speech and Language Therapist)
