Geography

The study of geography introduces candidates to our changing world, its human interactions and physical processes. Candidates develop the knowledge and skills to enable them to contribute to their local communities and wider society. The study of geography fosters positive life-long attitudes of environmental stewardship, sustainability and global citizenship.

History

The Course develops a coherent and balanced understanding of Scottish, British, European and world history. Through examining the past, candidates can better understand their own communities, their country and the wider world.

Modern Studies

Modern Studies follows a multidisciplinary approach to develop candidates’ knowledge and understanding of contemporary political and social issues in local, Scottish, United Kingdom and international contexts. Candidates develop the skills to interpret and participate in the social and political processes they will encounter in their lives.
