Primary 1 School Registration – Update
Parents/Carers of children who turn five between 1 March 2025 and 29 February 2026 should register during the week starting Monday 13th January to Friday 17th January 2025 for starting primary 1 in August 2025.
Information for parent/Carers about the registration of children in schools can be obtained from the school or by visiting:

Registration will take place in St Mary’s Primary School on:-
Monday 13th January | 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm |
Wednesday 15th January | 9:30 am to 12 noon & 2 pm to 4 pm |
Friday 17th January | 9:30 am to 12 noon & 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm |
You must bring with you:
- Child’s Birth Certificate
- Current Council Tax Bill
- Baptismal Certificate (if applicable)
You must enrol your child at their local catchment school.

Nursery Applications
Parents/Carers can now apply for a nursery placement for children who will be 3 years old between 1st March 2024 and 28th February 2025.

Please note that the closing date for applications is Friday, 16 February 2024.
Primary 1 School Registration
The registration of children to begin St Mary’s in August 2024 (children who turn five between 1 March 2024 and 29 February 2025) will take place during the week starting Monday 15 January to Friday 19 January 2024 .
Further details with exact times will follow in due course.
Please note – you must produce a birth certificate and a current council tax notice to register so it is advisable to look these out as soon as possible.

Christmas Fair
Friday 10th November 2023 3:15pm – 5:15pm
Dear Parent/Carer,
Please see the flyer below with information regarding the Christmas Fair which is being organised by the Parent Council.
Tickets will be available from the school. It is £3 per ticket (adult) which includes tea/coffee and a cake and no charge for children.
The Parent Council are looking for Tombola donations for this event. Donations can be handed into the school or by contacting a member of the Parent Council.
There is also a request for home baking which should be handed in on the day.
We look forward to this special event and we hope as many families can join us on the day.

Parent’s Meeting
This Thursday, 12th of October, is Parent’s Evening. Your child has been given their time slot. If there are any issues with the times please contact us as soon as possible. Remember, your child should attend this meeting as they will be setting ther targets alonside parents and satff.
