Children who attain the age of 5 years between 1 March 2021 and 28 February 2022 should register for starting Primary 1 in August 2021.
North Lanarkshire Council have devised a new system for Registration of Infant Beginners to support the ongoing response to COVID-19.
- You will not be invited into school to complete the registration form.
- Enrolment and Placing Request forms are now available for parents/carers to complete online and email to individual schools.

- The enrolment form and a list of email addresses for returning forms will also be sent on a separate email.
- Please complete the enrolment form to register your child for starting Primary 1 in August 2021 and submit it by 22nd January 2021.
- Completed forms should be sent directly to your catchment school.
- The email address that should be used for parents living in St Mary’s catchment area is: enquiries@st-marys-motherwell.n-lanark.sch.uk
- All applications need to be supported by a copy of your child’s birth certificate and proof of address. This should be a council tax bill. An up to date Council Tax Bill can be obtained from the NLC One Stop Shop.
- A picture can be taken and emailed to the school along with the completed application.

- If you wish to defer entry for your child for another year, please contact the nursery Head of Establishment/Centre to discuss next steps. Parents/carers who wish to make an early entry request should contact their catchment area school for an application form or download from www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk following the links for ‘Early Entry Requests’.

A deadline of 22nd January 2021 has been set for return of all forms.
