Thank You Kilbowie!

Thank you to all the staff at Kilbowie for a fantastic, fun-filled week! We have challenged ourselves, made new friends and had so many new experiences! A huge thanks to Mrs Kane and Mr McGilly for coming with us, we wouldn’t have had such a successful trip without you both! – Primary 7

Tremendous Thursday!

Our last day at Kilbowie was as eventful as ever, here we are rock climbing, skiing and tree climbing! The sun didn’t come out today but that didn’t stop us  from gorge walking and jumping into the sea! We have had such a fantastic time but we are looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow (we are especially missing our families, pets and iPads!)  Currently throwing some shapes on the dance floor at the disco- pictures to follow tomorrow!

Wonderful Wednesday!

Another beautiful sunny day in Oban for us and we are continuing to have the time of of lives!

Mr McCloskey arrived this morning to join in the fun.

Today we participated in a range of exciting activities including navigation, sailing and kayaking. Some of us even took part in the ‘Bush Trek’ where we released our inner Bear Grylls by learning how to build shelters and start fires!

Here are some pictures of our adventure walkers and kayakers! Well done to Anton, Adam, Chloe and Lucy Mc for jumping into the sea from a (very steep) cliff this morning – you were definitely a lot braver than me!

Our Thoughts on Kilbowie Day 2

“Today I walked up a cliff ,we started off with an easy one and it got harder as it went on  .Chloe and I did the first two in a pair and completed it very well . The instructor asked me if my mum and dad were in the Olympics because I was very sporty and got to the top in about two minutes.”- Lucy M

“Today we went skiing and there were six different slopes to complete to get to the top. We started off with learning how to use the skis and then we started going down the first slope and then worked our way up I made it to the light blue slope.” – Chloe

“Today we went gorge walking and the water was freezing! I enjoyed it and tried to avoid all of the slippery rocks so that I didn’t fall into the water. At the end there was a little pool that some people swam in and got soaked from head to toe.” -Rebekah

” Today we went on a safari. We learned about animal habitats and stood and watched some of the birds. I also went canoeing and we all got soaked! We went on an island and claimed it ours then we visited a further away island and then we got a sail and sailed back to Kilbowie.” – Jay

“Today I went mountain climbing and I got to the highest level. It was fun but sore on my hands. I met new friends during the activity.” – Ciaran

“Today I went canoeing. It was fun but sore on my arms.” – Luke Mc

“Today I went on a boat for the first time! It was scary but fun!” – Kane
