Each year, our school community participates in self evaluation activities in order to agree new Annual Improvement Priorities.  The school uses a number of North Lanarkshire and Scottish Government resources to help those involved in the Self Evaluation of St. Joseph’s including How Good is Our School 4 and the National Improvement Framework.  We are also part of the North Lanarkshire Council Self Improving Schools Network.

Our Annual Improvement Priorities for 2025-2026 are:

Attainment and Achievement: A priority to raise attainment and achievement for all learners through sustained high standards, approaches and expectations. ( Year 2)

Play Pedagogy: A priority to develop and embed a play pedagogy that supports high quality learning,  teaching and assessment across early level. ( Year 1)
