Easter Break and Holidays

If you are like me you will not be interested in the following message – I hate school holidays(and I’ve never seen Pinocchio).

School will close on Thursday this week at the normal time of 3 o’clock and reopen on Tuesday 29th March at 9am.

School will then close on Friday 1st April at 2.30pm and reopen on Monday 18th April at 9am.

I hope everyone has a very well earned break over the next few weeks and if you are off travelling I wish you a very safe journey and I look forward to hearing all about the adventures our children have.

Thank you for your support throughout the last term.

Fairyland Castles in P1

As part of our topic on Fairyland, our class have worked hard on making a Fairyland home for our favourite characters. We tried our best to use eco friendly materials. There are still some homes to come in so keep your eyes peeled for more! Please leave us a comment as we love to see that our families and friends have been catching up on our news. Thank you, from P1!

Palm Sunday Mass

Well done to the boys and girls from Primary 4 and Primary 6 for their participation in this beautiful mass. Primary 6 were very well prepared and delivered the Passion of Our Lord perfectly and I was very proud of the children who had volunteered to do this. I was also very proud of the Primary 4 children who enrolled to prepare for the Sacrament of the Eucharist(First Holy Communion). Thank you to Father Kenny, their teachers and their families for preparing and supporting our children – as always, they were a credit to our school community.

Earth Hour 🌍

Today Primary 6 read and made posters with the Primary 1 for Earth Hour. It was a huge success but both p1 and p6 were relieved to turn the lights back on we missed our Smart board too much!

Saint Joseph’s Coffee Morning Update

I am delighted to announce that the total raised at the Coffee Morning was £1015. This is a tremendous reflection of your support. Thank you and well done to everyone involved. I would particularly like to thank and congratulate Mrs Kerr and Mrs Stewart who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. At Thinking Circles the children decided that they wanted to support SCIAF and MacMillan Cancer Support.
