April in P5- Disney, Sunshine and Springtime Shenanigans!
April has been an absolute whirlwind in P5, the best kind of whirlwind, filled with music, magic, sunshine and just a sprinkle of delightful chaos.
Our classroom was buzzing with excitement as the children took to the stage for the school’s Disney show. They performed, sang and danced their hearts out, bringing Aladdin and Toy Story to life with confidence, colour and plenty of sparkle. Whether they were soaring on a magic carpet or channelling their inner Buzz Lightyear, they made the whole school proud.
With the spring sunshine finally making an appearance, we’ve been outdoors as much as possible. Rounders season has officially begun in PE, and the children have thrown themselves into it with enthusiasm, dramatic dives and the occasional friendly debate about whether someone was truly out.
Inside the classroom, the children continue to shine with their sign language skills. They’ve been using BSL to practise spelling words, communicate with each other and show off their growing confidence. Their hands are working almost as hard as their brains.
We also wrapped up our topic on Scottish inventors this month. The class loved discovering the brilliant minds behind everyday items and surprising creations. It’s been full of “I didn’t know that” moments and lots of admiration for Scotland’s inventive spirit.
Now we’re looking ahead to May, where we’ll be diving into the exciting world of natural disasters. From volcanoes to tornadoes, the children are already super excited, with lots of questions and curiosity. Don’t worry — all eruptions will be strictly imaginary.
April has been a fantastic month in P5v, full of energy, creativity and sunshine. Here’s to an exciting May and even more learning and laughter.
