Transition is another word for change.  As a child moves through their learning journey there are many transitions which mark milestones.  Here at Stepps Primary we aim to support all learners at these times of change.

For some children this can be as simple as a visit to his or her new class or school.  Some pupils find change stressful and require an enhanced transition, which we will tailor to suit the needs of the individual.

We run induction programmes for all children entering our nursery class, those moving into Primary 1 and our senior pupils as they prepare to commence their secondary education.  Use the drop-down menus at the top of the page for more information of these.

As well as this, we provide supports for pupils moving to a new class and teacher at the beginning of a new session in August, or those children who may join us mid-session.
