Hill Walking Fun

November 2, 2017 by Mrs Shaw | 0 comments

Today we had a fab time hill walking with Keith. We walked up a not so tiny hill!!!!  But it was worth it for the view alone. The children were amazed at how far they could see. Then we got the chance to slide down some hills, jump in a rather smelly peat bog. One of the boys got a real shock when he jumped in,what he thought was a puddle!

We we finished up by exploring a tiny rock cave at the roadside.

Great fun at Glen Lonan Gorge

November 1, 2017 by Mrs Shaw | 0 comments

In the afternoon we went gorge walking. First we had to get kitted out with our safety equipment? Then we all got in the minibus to go to the gorge. At one point we had to drive very slowly until the highland cows and sheep decided to move off the road in front of us and let us past. As soon as we got off the minibus we had to cross a tiny trickle of water and all the children were screaming about how cold the water was. But by the end all of the children were climbing up rocks, sliding or jumping into the freezing cold frothy water and floating down the gorge. That little trickle of water now looked so tame.
