Girls’ Sports Festival 2016

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Fifteen lucky girls got the chance to join teams from the Cumbernauld and Kilsyth area to take part in a wide range of taster workshops this morning.  From Tae Kwon Do to Baton Twirling and Rugby, our team did us proud and gave it their all!  They were fabulous ambassadors for the school, demonstrating super sportsmanship and perseverance when things got tricky!

They were a credit to our school and their families.  Thank  you, girls!

We are always looking out for opportunities to take part in inter-school festivals and competitions throughout the session.  Whether it is sporting events, maths challenges, a reading quiz, local business links or an Eco showcase, you will always find a Stepps team willing to have a go!  It is our aim to ensure all pupils get the chance to represent our school at one of these during their primary school career.  We strive to encourage Confident Individuals, Successful Learners, Effective Contributors and Responsible Citizens in the classroom, on the sports’ field and in the local community.

JRSO Training Day

Our new Junior Road Safety Officers had a busy morning, training with the North Lanarkshire Road Safety Team.  They met Strider (from Travel Tracker!!), learned how to do magic tricks to make a better presentation, with Allan from Allan’s Magic, and even had a shot sitting in a heavy goods vehicle.  It wasn’t all fun and games though, they also had to plan their first campaign of the new session.

Look out for our special event called EDWARD coming very soon!

Welcome Back!

The sun shone for our first day back to school, and don’t we look smart!

Remember to check names are on all items of school uniform, as we don’t want to be losing anything this year.

Please label purses, wallets and lunch boxes too, as many look similar.

Our Primary 7 buddies made sure all our Primary 1 pupils had a friend on hand during all break times today.

They helped them to find a friend to play with and made sure they ate their snacks and lunch at the right times.

Everyone had a great day.  What a fantastic start to the session!
