Badger Visits Stepps!
Badger the Mystical Mutt joined a very excited P.1-4 Assembly this morning to tell us all about his latest adventures. He had us all in stitches laughing and even showed us some magic tricks. AMAZING!
World War Two Rations
October 11, 2016 by Miss Davidson | 1 Comment
Primary 7D have been learning all about Rationing as part of their World War Two topic. We discovered that during WW2 due to a shortage of material, clothing was also rationed along with various different items of food. When rationing of clothes started in WW2 people were given only 60 coupons to use each year. In class, P7D investigated how many coupons were needed to buy different items of clothing. We then made our very own clothing wish list and counted up how many coupons we would have to use to buy our dream new outfit. To our shock, some of us found out that we needed much more than 60 coupons to buy just one outfit! This got us thinking about all the different challenges people must have faced during WW2 and how much has changed since.

Harvest
These photographs show just some of the donations made towards our Harvest appeal this year. Thank you to everyone who contributed towards our Harvest Service today by donating some foodstuff, helping your child learn song words, or joining us in school as our audience this morning.
All of this food is now on its way to feed those most in need in the Glasgow area, via the Salvation Army and Lodging House Mission. THANK YOU!

Scientists In The Making!
Primary 3 have been learning all about electricity. As part of our topic, we learned about how circuits work. In groups, we collected all the equipment and worked together to build our circuits. We were very excited because we all managed to get our light bulbs to light! Have a look at some of our pictures below!

PTA Family Fun Night – Zumba and Circuits
Thank you to Cheryl Lawn for leading us through a lively workout tonight. As you can see, we all had a ball following her fun fitness routine. Of course, that wasn’t all…we then went on to our circuit training. Yes, a fabulous way for the whole family to laugh, exercise and spend time with friends.
Huge thanks to everyone who helped with the planning, setting up and organisation on the night. And of course, thank you to all our parents, carers, pupils and visitors who came along and joined in!

Wonka at Stepps!
We enjoyed sharing our learning with a large number of our parents and carers this morning, as we took them on a tour of Mr Wonka’s factory. From the Juicing Room to the Wonka Vision Station, we had queues lining up to get involved.
We would like to say a huge thanks to everyone who supported us today.
Some fabulous memories of an eventful day!
