Reminder: Scottish Celebration Assembly

We will be having a special Scottish Celebration Assembly for pupils on Wednesday 1st February to enable them to share their learning and achievements with the rest of the school. If you could provide your child with something tartan to wear with their uniform on this day it would be very much appreciated. This can be anything from a tartan ribbon, tie, scarf, hat, pyjama top or even a kilt! The more tartan the better!

Peer Mediation

Trained Peer Mediators are now working in both playgrounds at each break.

You can’t miss them…look out for their bright red bands!

A huge thank you to our Primary 7 volunteers who took part in extensive training before applying for this job.

Italian Club

January 26, 2017 by Mrs Taylor | 0 comments

Last night was the first night of our Italian Conversation Club.  I was delighted by the huge turnout and the enthusiasm of the children. The club will run for 8 weeks and on the last week we will have a party to sample some Italian foods. I will issue a letter prior to this, to check for any food allergies.

Kodály

P3N have had the opportunity to work with Claire and experience music in a different way. We have enjoyed working with her and have learned a lot about music through active games and using our voices. Below are a few pictures of one of the games we really enjoyed!

P3N can bake!

January 19, 2017 by User deactivated | 0 comments

As part of our topic, we have been learning about famous Scottish foods and drinks. We made some yummy shortbread and designed our own labels too! We worked in groups to mix the ingredients together and used cookie cutters to make different shapes. At the end, we wrapped our biscuits up and stuck our labels on them. We enjoyed baking our shortbread and eating it!  Have a look at our pictures below.

Today one group planned and delivered exciting and fun fitness stations, each station was designed to help develop skills, speed and strength. Excellent work P7. Keep it up!

Eco Inventors

January 18, 2017 by Miss Davidson | 0 comments

As part of our topic we discussed the impact that music festivals can have on the local environment. We discovered that thousands of tents are left behind each summer along with other waste. In small groups we worked together to invent, design and create an Eco Friendly Tent using only or as many recyclable materials as possible.   img_0788 img_0789 img_0791
