Stepps Primary School

The school will reopen for all pupils on Thursday 17 August. Pupils in P1B, P1K and P1M have been issued with specific starting times.

Our nursery will open at 8.40am as normal on Thursday 17 August.

We look forward to seeing everyone back for the new school session.

School Uniform – Ordering System

New arrangements for ordering school uniform items are now in place. School Uniform clothing items i.e. Polo shirts, Sweatshirts, Gym T-shirts and Jackets, are now available to order on-line from our uniform suppliers with immediate effect. This Service will be available all year round.

Please order uniform items from www.schoolwearmadeeasy.com. Items will be delivered free of charge to your chosen delivery address. The School will continue to receive commission from all uniform orders which will go towards providing essential teaching resources. The company used is based in Paisley. This is the same supplier of school uniform that has been used for many years by the school.

Uniform accessories such a badges, ties and hats should still be ordered through the school using a new ordering form available from the school office or can be downloaded through the school website from the Parent Area/PTA tab.

The school has a small supply of stock clothing items left. Once this stock is depleted no school uniform clothing items will be available to order from the school.

For the past five years it has been a pleasure to keep you updated on school news and events through the school website.  Today it is time for change.

As I leave, I have got so many mixed emotions: thinking of all that we have been through together, whilst looking to the new opportunities I have been offered in Coatbridge.

I simply want to thank my whole STEPPs FAMILY for all your gifts, cards, drawings, hugs, visits and messages of support.  Every one of them is very much appreciated.

I may not be the Admin for this site after today, but I will be a frequent visitor – logging in to see what’s going on in Stepps.

And remember…DON’T CRY BECAUSE IT’S OVER, SMILE BECAUSE IT HAPPENED.

Our JRSO team recently ran a poster competition, asking pupils to design a poster to encourage drivers to slow down.  We were amazed by the high quality of all the art work, but in the end the winning entries were judged and awarded at assembly this week.  Well done to our star designers…and thank you to everyone who took part!  Here are just SOME of the entries…

We are delighted with the achievements of many of our learners during a recent North Lanarkshire SumDog Challenge.  This on-line resource is very popular with our P.4-7 classes, allowing them to practise their mathematical skills whilst having fun!  During the competition we had whole classes taking the lead several times over the week, with many individual pupils top of the leader board at the end of each day.  In the end, Primary 7R were pipped at the post and came out as the third class in the whole authority.  Excellent team work from our senior pupils, resulting in this excellent score.

In addition, four of our Primary 6 learners were in the top 10 on the individual score board.  What an achievement for Stepps Primary.

We are looking forward to the next competition.  Keep logging into SumDog to practise those all-important calculations!
