Problem solving in P3M

We have been learning to use the Elimination strategy in Problem Solving in maths. We used what we have learned to create our own problems using this strategy. We enjoyed sharing them with the rest of our class.

Children In Need

P1M helped raise money for Children In Need by donating money to dress up or dress down. We also iced biscuits and really enjoyed eating our creations. The pictures will show you how much fun we had and how amazing we all looked.

1980s

In primary 3/2 we have been learning all about the 1980s! We enjoyed learning about the Glasgow Garden Festival and designing our own logo for it, we loved looking at photos of popular cars in the 1980s and we had great fun listening and dancing to popular 1980s music. We created our own Wuzzle, designed posters for 80s films we love watching and we tasted some Angel Delight because it was a popular food in the 80s. We even worked in groups to create our own time machines to travel back to the 1980s in drama.

Our VIP trip

On November the 15th we went to see Zootropolis at the cinema. We were all really happy because we got VIP seats. The film was all about a rabbit wanting to be a police officer. Judy got bullied when she was only young. She got scratched in the face by Gideon Grey, a fierce fox. Then she also got bullied when she was in Zootropolis. Nick Wilde the sly fox was also bullied when he was at Junior Scouts Club. Everyone really enjoyed the school trip.

We learnt a lot about how bullying makes people feel. When we got back to school we did lots work about anti-bullying as it is anti-bullying week.

Children in Need 2017

Primary 4S were helping to raise money for Children in Need. We had to pay 1 donation to dress down. Lots of boys and girls came in wearing spotty outfits or Pudsey outfits. The children in Primary 5 and 4/3 have been coming in all week selling us bands and badges. Lots of the boys and girls are really looking forward to making “Spotty Biscuits”.

PTA Poster Design Competition

Well done to everyone who took part in the PTA’s Christmas Fayre poster design competition. Our PTA had a very difficult time selecting an overall winner, however, after a lot of discussion the prize of a Smiggle Advent Calendar was awarded to Devyn in P5. Well done Devyn!

Well done  to Millie, Erin, Darcey, Ella and Naomi who were chosen as runners-up.

All posters will be displayed around the school to promote our upcoming Christmas Fayre,
