Painting With Scissors

Last term we learned about the artwork of Henri Matisse. In later life, Matisse lost the ability to draw and paint due to illness. Instead he used coloured paper and cut different shapes to make images. He had assistants who would move the paper around a blank canvas for him and then stick it where he asked. To finish the topic, P7M tried this themselves this week. They all cut their shapes and then had a partner move the paper until they were happy with the image they created. The finished image shows how our fantastic teamwork can create great work and keep the school looking bright and colourful! Have a look at the images below.
