Science Week

We came back from the Spring break to an experiment filled science week!! On Monday we spun a glass of water over our heads looking at centrifugal force. Tuesday saw us test mixing acid (vinegar) and a base (baking soda) to blow up bags. On Wednesday we used the variables of height, weight and angle to observe the different sized craters that meteorites make on earth. Then on Thursday we made speed boats simply with a bit of paper and washing up liquid and made pepper disappear from water. Finally today we surprised ourselves by making giant loops out of one loop of paper!

We had a lot of fun and learned a lot by concentrating on how to keep our experiments fair, how to come up with a hypothesis and how to write up our results. Lots of our results were VERY different to what we expected!! Have a look at some of our pictures below!!
