Exploring books

March 9, 2016 by User deactivated | 0 comments

This week the children have been exploring factual books to find out interesting information about Spring and animals. By looking at a range of books and listening to information we found out that there are four seasons, Jaguars live in America and frogs like to eat dragonflies and grasshoppers.

What a musical blast!

What a busy morning we have had in the nursery! Not only have we had lovely visits from the girls and boys who read to us but we also had the opportunity to hear wonderful music from the trumpet players! We were really impressed at how good they sounded .

We can describe popcorn!

We have been having lots of fun using our five senses to explore and describe popcorn! We listened to the popping sounds as it was cooking and smelled the delicious aroma when it was ready. Then we looked and touched the popcorn before the best bit, tasting the different flavours!

We had a great time sharing our learning with invited guests today.  Thank you to everyone who who came along to our Enterprise event this morning.

As well as all the laughs and smiles, there were a few tears too as Mrs Garvie left Stepps Primary and Nursery after many happy years teaching the boys and girls here.  We wish her every success in her new post.
