School Improvement Priorities 2022/2023
Please find below a summary of our improvement work focus for this session. Our detailed School Improvement Plan will be shared with our Parent Council at our first meeting of this session on 12th September 2022 at 6pm in the Conference Room. Cluster Priority 1 – To increase the expertise and confidence of pupils in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths ) activities.
Cluster Priority 2 – To improve the attendance of a targeted group of pupils
Please note cluster priorities involve working with colleagues from St Margaret’s High School and the feeder primary schools and nurseries.
School Priority 1 – Learners will have opportunity to improve their engagement and participation through targeted interventions and enhanced learning experiences which will improve attainment and achievement. Interventions will be targeted where appropriate to ensure equity.
Within this Priority some of our work will focus on the following:
- Mindset Maths
- Targeted Literacy and Numeracy Interventions for targeted pupils
- The Reading School Award
- Further accreditation of The Digital Schools Award
- Meta Skills
- Continued review of our Curriculum
- Child Led Pedagogy (Nursery)
School Priority 2 – Learners will have opportunity to improve their health and wellbeing through targeted interventions and enhanced learning experiences. Interventions will be targeted where appropriate to ensure equity.
Within this Priority some of our work will focus on the following:
- Mental Health and Wellbeing
- Rights Respecting School Silver Award
- Nurture Sessions for targeted pupils across the school
- Healthy Lifestyles
- Outdoor Learning
