February in Primary 6

Primary 6 have been looking at sound and light in our Science topic. We have been learning about shadows and how they are formed, we know the meanings of the terms transparent, translucent and opaque and have made eye-catching stained glass crosses which will look fabulous on our new windows when they are finished.

We also chose an inventor of our choice and created our very own 3D creation of their invention. We did this as a homework task and the results were outstanding. We showed our models at our class assembly and we enjoyed telling the children all about them.

we have been working through the new Maths Pathways and this term we have covered; Maps and Coordinates, Measure, Probability and Chance and we are currently working on Fractions, Decimals and Percentages. We are enjoying working more actively during our maths time.
