P.1/2 update.

We have been so busy the past few weeks and are now looking forward to a well deserved break.

We all had an important part to play in our nativity show. All the staff and parents thought we were amazing and gave us a huge big clap! We were delighted with ourselves. Don’t we look fabulous?

Merry Christmas from all of us!

Here are a few snaps from our week…

When ended our hard working term with a Movie day.

After looking at real Christmas trees in winter, we painted our own winter forest.

Our finished winter pictures. Aren’t they amazing?

Everyone got dressed up for our party.

We added winter colours to the sky to show the brightness of the moon.

All set for dancing.

Getting ready for the party games.

Can’t wait for he fun to begin.

This very special visitor loved our tree.

Who was the best dancer?

Santa has presents for everyone.

Primary 1 update.

This week was amazing! We celebrated Christmas with our Christmas Nativity on Tuesday and you can see our photos on the dojo story. Also, we have been working hard in class as you can see below.

A trophy winner in our class….well done!

We have been exploring symmetry in maths. We made symmetrical Christmas trees.

Having fun with our friends in the play area.

Making sure the baby is getting enough cuddles in the play area.

What would you like to buy at the shop today?

Look at the size of this trophy! A super achievement.

Some of us love to draw and make at the play area.

We are second week of Advent and are praying for Faith and Hope. We made Advent candles.

P6b Update

We have had a busy few weeks in Primary 6b. We have all been working hard and learning lots.

At the moment we have been learning about famous landmarks as part of our Spain topic, including La Sagrada Familia, Park Güell and Casa Milà, amongst others. We have also been learning about famous artchitect Antoni Gaudí, who designed many of the landmarks.

We also had the opportunity this week to visit Morgan Sindall, one of the UK’s leading construction and infrastructure companies. We met many of the comapanys employees who spoke to us about their roles within the company and what these roles entail.

We were then set the challenge of which team could build the highest self-standing tower, with limited resources. We had a ball and our ideas were fantastic!

Also, we were visited by Celtic FC Ambassador Jay Beatty and his dad Martin. Martin spoke to us about disability and were given the opportunity to chat with Jay about his love for Celtic. We then had the chance to have a quick kick about with Jay, which was great fun!

Primary 1 update.

This week, we have been very busy and hard at work preparing for the Christmas Nativity show. Everyone will be on the stage and everyone will have an important part to play. We are all so looking forward to entertaining you with our songs, actions and story telling.

Also this week, we have been learning about Christ the King and made crowns for the altar.

Last week we celebrated the feast day of Christ the King. We made crowns for Christ the King.

our pupil voice groups have been getting us all involved in the Rights Respecting Schools competition to design a mascot.

We are designing a mascot for a pupil voice competition.

The winning mascot will be made into a teddy.

We hope there is a winning entry for the Rights, Respecting Schools competition.

These two children opened door 1 and door 2 on our book advent calendar this week. Brilliant little books to take home, read and keep.

We got together with P2/1 to celebrate St Andrew’s Day.

Sharing some Scottish food with our P2/1 friends for St Andrew’s day.

We tried some Scottish food.

It was great to spend time with our P2/1 neighbours.

P1 and P2/1 had a fun Scottish afternoon.

As well as all of this, we have been keeping up with our maths skills, learning to add and our literacy skills, reading all non writing every day.

What a smart bunch!

What a busy week!

Primary 4

Primary 4 enjoyed crazy hair day this week and had some fabulous and creative hair-dos!

In RE we learned more about St Andrew by fishing for some interesting facts about him. We were able to sort the true and false facts. It was lots of fun!

We have also started practising for our Christmas show and have loved learning our new songs! We can’t wait until showtime!

Catch up with P.1/2

We have been very busy the past few weeks. Here we are learning new sounds during literacy time.

We have been trying hard to use during reading and writing to help us spell and decode tricky words.

During maths time we have been learning how to organise information. We made a pictogram and a block graph then read information from both of them. We are pretty good at this!

Mrs Armour has been doing lots of music with us too. We have been playing instruments and singing at the same time. Miss Duffy thinks we will be on the stage soon!
