– Write your words 3 times using a fun spelling task of your choice!

09:15- 10:35: Reading (ALL)
– Listen to a story from the link below and record yourself giving a short summary of what you have heard. This could be an audio clip or a video clip:

10:50-12:30: NUMERACY
Mental Maths (ALL)
– Open the folder called ‘Mental Maths’ within the Numeracy section of our Glow page. Complete Tuesday of ‘27.04.20 mental maths’.
– Practise the 6 and 7 times table.

Squares
– Open the ‘Squares’ folder within the Numeracy section of Glow. Open the folder named ‘Multiplication and division’ and complete the exercise called ‘Page 2 multiplication and division 28.04.20’.

Triangles
– Open the ‘Triangles’ folder within the Numeracy section of Glow. Open the folder named ‘Multiplication and division’ and complete the exercise called ‘Chimney multiplication (4 digit by 1 digit) 28.04.20’.

Circles
– Open ‘Circles’ folder within the Numeracy section of Glow. Go to folder named ‘2D and 3D shape’. Complete the exercise called ‘Name the shape 2’.

P.E. (ALL)
– Get your family involved in taking part in completing your workout video you made yesterday. You could even share this with friends or other family members and get them involved too!

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well and excited for another week of home learning!

I have uploaded new tasks into today’s folder in the Health and Wellbeing section in Glow (beneath the blue class tiles). Starting this week, there will also be a Health lesson every day as one of your tasks. Each week there will be a different theme the lessons are based around. This week’s Health Focus theme is… Handwashing!

Also, if you’d like to share any photos of your Health and Wellbeing learning, I have now created a folder called ‘Children’s Work’ underneath my daily task folders. Or you could share them on your class Glow page, I love to see all of your fantastic work.

LITERACY

1. Spelling – Group 1 – I have uploaded a new spelling grid for you. It is in the spelling folder and called ‘Group 1 Term 4’. Find your words for today and write them using rainbow spelling. Group 2 – Find today’s words on your grid. Write them using pyramid spelling.

2. Topic Research (All) – Research an astronaut of your choice and take notes about them. Try to include the following:
   What is their name?
   Which mission(s) were they involved in?
   How long did they spend in space?
   What do their duties include?

NUMERACY

3. Mental Maths – Open the folder called ‘Mental Maths’ within the Numeracy section of our Glow page. Complete ‘Monday’ of Mental Maths 27.04.20 Page 1.
4. Group 1 –Some more Bodmas revision today. It is in the Group 1’s Numeracy folder. These are a bit trickier than last week’s but you have done problems like this before. Remember do multiplication or division first, then work from left to right. Send me a message if you get stuck and I will talk you through it. Try questions 1-6. Here is a clip that might help you:

Group 2 – We are going to try some word problems today. Read the question and make sure you understand what it is asking. Then decide if you need to use addition or subtraction. Try the challenge in the red box too!
