Good morning everyone! I hope you are all well! 😀
Here is today’s suggested plan.
9.00 – 10.35: LITERACY
09:10-09:30 Spelling
Diamonds – Find your words for today on your spelling grid. Write them 3 times and then choose 3 to write a sentence for.
Emeralds – Find your words for today and write them in alphabetical order.
09:30 – 10:35: Phases of the Moon (ALL)
– There is a folder in the Literacy section called Phases of the Moon. Inside you will find a powerpoint and worksheet for you to complete. Work your way through the powerpoint and then complete the worksheet. You could even draw out your own diagram and then colour it in!
10:50-12:30: NUMERACY
Mental Maths (ALL)
– Open the folder called ‘Mental Maths’ within the Numeracy section of our Glow page. Complete Wednesday of ‘11.05.20 Mental maths 2’.
– Practise the 8 and 9 times table.
Squares
– Today we are going to do some revision of decimals. Open the ‘Squares’ folder within the Numeracy section of Glow. Open the folder named ‘Fractions, decimals and percentages’ and complete the exercise called ‘Rounding decimals to the nearest tenth 13.05.20’. You might find it helpful to have a look at the ‘Fractions, decimals and percentages poster’ within this folder to help and remind you.
Triangles
– Open the ‘Triangles’ folder within the Numeracy section of Glow. Open the folder named ‘Addition and subtraction’ and complete the exercise called ‘Subtraction word problems (tens) 13.05.20’.
Circles
– Open ‘Circles’ folder within the Numeracy section of Glow. Go to folder named ‘Addition and subtraction’. Complete the exercise called ‘Chimney subtraction 3 13.05.20’.
1.15 – 3.00: Space (ALL)
– Over the next few weeks I will be giving you time to complete a project in relation to our Space topic. Whatever you decide to create is completely your own choice. You could make your own model of your favourite planet, a spaceship or even the solar system! Use this afternoon to start having a think about what it is you are going to create. Start designing and collecting materials for this – what materials will you need and what materials might suit best? You decide! You could start to sketch out a rough idea of what you want it to look like. I can’t wait to hear all of your great ideas!
Have a great day!
Miss Doyle 😀
