Here we are exploring “balancing” in gymnastics. We are getting quite skilled at keeping our bodies steady.
In the ICT suit we have been exploring healthy eating through design and technology. We were designing fruit salad today! Mmmmmmm.
We also use our Learning Logs to talk about and record our thought about learning. Here are a few entries from today….
At this time of year we also set ourselves new targets. As usual, our Buddies were on hand to help us…

Primary 7 were delighted to receive their new ties today! What a surprise when Mr Young walked in our door and presented the children with their specially designed ties. There were smiles all round as we helped each other put on the ties. Wear them with pride pr 7 you deserve them!

This week primary 5/6 carried out some research for their new Spain topic. We worked in teams to collaborate our new knowledge and presented our findings to the rest of the class. Super work everyone!

This week in Primary 2/3 we are learning how to round numbers to the nearest 10. We had fun playing ’round up’ in groups with our friends then we got a chance to show off our impressive rounding skills in our jotter.
Well done to this boy and girl for being the hard workers of the afternoon!

Last week Pablo went home with Marysa and spent his weekend at the caravan! Marysa wrote all about it in his diary and shared it with everyone when she came back to school! 
You can see from these photos that in primary 1 and in primary 2 we have been writing sentences. Some of us are just learning the skills of composing and writing a sentence whereas in primary 2 we are more confident and are beginning to stretch our sentences to make them more interesting.
In our maths in primary 2 we are continuing to explore tens and units and this week looked at splitting amounts of money into tens and units.
In primary 1 maths, we are looking at jumping along a numbered track. We have used a lot of different resources to learn and practice our skills.
When we were in the computer room this week we were exploring autumn using some interesting videos and activities on the Espresso web site.
Finally, we are very proud of these two wonderful girls from Primary 1/2 who have won medals at their own dancing competitions.

Today we read ‘Room on the Broom’ by Julia Donaldson to get us in the mood for Halloween. We really enjoyed the story and our favourite part was when the witch used a spell to make herself a ‘truly magnificent’ broomstick! We had a go at designing our own broomsticks, some were covered in chocolate and others came with a couch attached, they all looked fantastic! After that we got to use art straws to make ourselves a magic wand just like the one the witch had in the story. We had a brilliant afternoon!

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming some very important people into P4. We were joined by Mr Johnstone and Ms Robertson from the Scottish Government and Mr Craig and Ms Fisher from North Lanarkshire Council. Here is some of the maths learning that we shared with them…
