Travel and Transport has been our theme for the last few months, learning about travel and transport now and in the past. This has helped us learn all about how transport has changed the way we live. Look at these wonderful sailboats!

If you come into our class in the morning, you can chose how you want to be greeted! You can choose a hug, a smile, a high five, a thumbs up or a wave! We love to be greeted so warmly in the morning. It means everyone comes in to the class feeling delighted and welcomed.
How would you like to be greeted in the morning?
In P1, we are using a new resource called “Word Aware”. Each week, we will learn new vocabulary that we may not have heard of before and by the end of the week, we will have a greater understanding of the word and be able to use it confidently. This will help our reading and writing skills.

Writing is a big priority in our class. Not only are we learning to form the letters correctly, write on the line and keep the letters the correct size, but we are also learning to write sentences on our own. Look at some of our Star Writers!
