P.E. in P.2

We’ve been learning how to play football in P.E. recently. This week we focussed on how to shoot for goal.

We started off our lesson with a quick game of toilet tig (don’t ask!).

After that, we took turns to hit penalties into a very skilful goalkeeper. We aimed for the corners of the goal because that made it harder for the keeper to save it.

Next, we split up into groups to practice dribbling then shooting. This was pretty tricky!

Finally, we played a game of ‘Numbers’. When your number was called, you had to run on the park and score before the other team did. After a tense match, the final score was 9-4 to the Dinner Ladies team!

I’ve no doubt that some of the kids in our class will be getting called up by Alex McLeish for the Scottish national team before too long…
