Lots of fun on world book day!

P2/3 had a fantastic day celebrating world book day. They took part in lots of fun activities throughout the day.

To start off the day there was a fantastic book path all around our classroom. We had a look at all of the marvellous books and chose one to read at our table.

Next, as a whole class we discussed different ways that we could organise our the books in our library. After some great suggestions we split into groups and began to organise our set of books in different ways.

We even had our very own Book Swap. Half of the class were given a book swap token and swapped their reading book with someone else. It was great to see all the different books that everyone brought in!

After lunch we had our very own picnic as we listened to Miss Allington reading her favourite childhood book ‘The Tiger who came to tea’

We had a great time celebrating world book day and really enjoyed making our own bookmarks too!
