Archibalds War!

The primary seven children “wowed” everyone with their World War 2 performance of Archibalds war on Thursday night.

The children have been learning all about evacuation, conscription, women at work, air raids, American GIs, British morale and the the victory at the end of the war. We have been looking at the feelings and emotions of that time and have been able to appreciate it a bit more through the study of our show. The children have been working as a team, learning lines, stage directions, singing songs, making costumes and taking on extra roles when some of our cast went away ill.

Their commitment to the show has been outstanding and their enjoyment was evident on Thursday when those curtains opened to reveal a very proud and happy class!

After the show, we were delighted to share our models and projects over a cup of tea and cakes!

Thank you so much to those who came along. It was a night we will not forget!
