We have been exploring different values during R.E. time. Today we read a story about Minnie the Monkey. She was a bit disrespectful – always interrupting when other people were talking and saying things she shouldn’t have been. It’s very important to think before you speak otherwise you might hurt someone’s feelings without even noticing!  Miss Duffy put some toothpaste on a paper towel and asked us to have a go at putting all the toothpaste back in the tube. None of us could manage it! Just like the toothpaste, we can’t quite manage to put things back into our mouths after we have said them. We are going to show respect by thinking before we speak from now on but we understand that sometimes mistakes do happen and it is important to forgive people too.
