P5 Daily Plan Friday 5th June

Good morning everyone, what a busy week you have had so far. Your tasks for today are on Glow and Dojo if you need any help please send me a message.

Taught Writing – Sun Safety

  • Your task today is to design a poster which encourages everyone to stay safe in the sun.
  • Using what you learned yesterday from the comprehension passage, you will need to include information about why sun safety is important.
  • A poster should attract your reader’s attention so use bright colours, pictures and fancy writing.
  • I have given you a worksheet with more details of what you could include in your poster.
  • If you prefer, you could create your poster on your computer using Word rather than on paper, it is up to you!

Spelling

  • Ask someone to give you your Friday spelling test for this week’s words. Remember to ask them to read out some dictated sentences for you to write down.

Maths

Converting Units of Length

  • Have another look at yesterday’s powerpoint to recap what you learned.
  • There is a word document of the screenshots on both Glow and Dojo if you have trouble opening the powerpoint.
  • Try today’s worksheet which will give you more practice in converting units of measure,
  • The answer sheet will be posted after lunchtime so you can check your answers.

Mental Maths – Today you have the second half of the word problems you were set yesterday. They are in the mental maths folder on Glow and also in the Dojo Class Story. The answers are on the last page for all 21 problems you solved over the two days.

Sumdog

Try the 11 and 12 times table challenge. The house will be open for you!

ICT and Spanish

  • Go onto the rockalingua website where you will find Spanish activities.
  • Click on Colores to practice the Spanish colour names.
  • There are three activities for you to try:
  • Drag and Match – match the coloured splat to the correct name.
  • Concept Race – type the colour name into the box correctly.
  • Memory game – snap card game to match the colours.
  • On an interactive drawing tool create a rainbow and label it using the Spanish colours you’ve been practicing.

P.E.

  • Remember it is important to get some exercise every day, you can choose what you want to do.

Fun Friday

  • Once you have finished all of your tasks choose something fun to do as a Fun Friday task. You might play an interactive game, do some more exercise or complete a craft activity. Have fun!

Have a lovely weekend boys and girls.
