P6b Daily Plan – Thursday 21.05.20

Good morning P6!
Here is the suggested plan for today.πŸ™‚

9.00 – 10.35: LITERACY
09:10-09:30 Spelling (ALL)

– Write your words 3 times and write a sentence using your spelling words and other ambitious words.

09:30- 10:35: Writing (ALL)
– Today for our writing we are going to write a report on the Moon. You have taken lots of different notes and information down about the Moon over the past few weeks. We have learned about the Phases of the Moon, solar eclipses, the Apollo Space Program and lots more. It is completely up to you what information you choose to include in your report.

Remember, a report should have:

– A title.
– An introductory paragraph informing the reader what the report is about.
– Use of sub-headings.
– Include appropriate pictures for additional information.
– Include topic specific vocabulary.

Remember your core targets!

11-12:30:
R.E. (ALL):

– Today is the Feast of the Ascension and the Bishop will be celebrating a live-streamed Mass at 11am for the schools in the Diocese. This is a day when we would all normally attend Mass so it is an appropriate day to pray for everyone during this time of disruption and uncertainty.
You should be able to watch through this link:
https://www.facebook.com/rcmotherwell/
The video will be live-streamed through Facebook at 11am, therefore, no video will be available before this time but should be available afterwards.

Mental Maths (ALL):
– Open the folder called β€˜Mental Maths’ within the Numeracy section of our Glow page. Complete Thursday of β€˜18.05.20 Mental maths 2’.

Sumdog (ALL):
– Go onto Sumdog and complete the North Lanarkshire Math Challenge which ends at 8pm tonight!
Let’s try and get onto the leader board and win! Come onnnn!
We still need more players (at least 10) to reach the leader board! I know you can do it! Good luck!

1.15 – 3.00:

Topic (ALL):
– Start creating your model today if you haven’t already. Take pictures at each stage of making your model to look back on. I can’t wait to see them!

If you have any questions please send me a dojo and I will do my best to help. Keep up the great work!
Have a lovely Bank Holiday weekend!
