LITERACY

09:10-09:30 Spelling – Write your words 3 times and write a sentence using your spelling words and other ambitious words.

09:30- 10:35 Reading

Diamonds and Emeralds – Open the folder called ‘Diamonds and Emeralds’ within the Literacy section of our Glow page. Open ‘The Demon Headmaster’ passage and ‘The Demon Headmaster’ questions. Read through the passage twice and then answer the questions using full, HOT answers.

Rubies and Sapphires – Open the folder called ‘Rubies and Sapphires’ within the Literacy section of our glow page. Open ‘The Dog and his Reflection’ passage and questions. Read through the passage twice and then answer the questions using full, HOT answers.

All – After you complete your questions, discuss the story with someone at home, telling them what it was about and including all the main points.

Mental Maths

  • Open the folder called ‘Mental Maths’ within the Numeracy section of our Glow page. Complete ‘Monday’ of the first page.
  • Practise your 8 and 9 times table.

Group 1

  • Open the ‘Group 1’ folder within the Numeracy section of Glow. Complete the revision exercise called ‘Decimals Exercise 23.3.20’.
  • Challenge – create your own multiplication problem that can be solved using Partial Product.

Group 2

  • Open the ‘Group 2’ folder within the Numeracy section of Glow. Complete the  exercise called ‘Subtraction with borrowing’.

Sumdog

  • If you manage to finish your tasks, play Sumdog. A new challenge has been set.

Topic

  • Click the ‘Topic’ section of our Glow page. Open the Robert the Bruce fact file and read about the key role he played in The Scottish Wars of Independence.
