Here we are showing off some of the phonemes we have been learning this term. We know them really well and can use them to write some of the trickier words.
This week was our turn to visit the STEM zone. We were involved in some great learning experiences as you can see…..
Also it was World Book day. Everyone brought in an object that reminded them of a favourite story and some of us brought the story with us too. Then, we shared our story with our class mates. It was great to hear about the different stories and characters that everyone likes.
In P1, we are enjoying Number Talks. In this photo, you can see that we have been working out how many dots we can see altogether. We are looking for adding doubles, adding one or two more, making a ten, counting on and seeing patterns. We are all pretty smart you know!
Each week, we are using Word Aware to learn new vocabulary. This week we are learning all about the word “mean”. No one in our class is mean though!
Our visitors cam last week to tell us all about Maisie Milk. We are going to bring in spare change to fill a milk carton and donate all of the money to Aid to the Church in Need. This is a charity that Pope Francis would like us to support. It will go on all year, with each class collecting spare change. What a great idea.
Play area time is always an interesting time to play with different things and different people. Look at what we were up to on Friday!!
